Moshe Bar is the General Partner of Pine Hill Capital L.P.. Previously, he was a co-founder of Qumranet, sold to Red Hat. He previously co-founded the software company XenSource which was sold to Citrix. Moshe has frequently acted as a private angel investor in leading high- tech companies. He is the author of several text books in computer science and also taught computer science at Tel Aviv University. Before entering the high‐tech business, he was a career officer in the Israel Defense Forces. He was previously a board member/advisor of Amplidata (sold to Western Digital), Hyper9 (sold to Solarwinds), OptiGrowth Capital, of Qlayer (sold to Sun Microsystems), Quandoo GmbH (sold to Recruit Holdings KK), Racktivity, Splunk (NASDAQ:SPLK), 28msec, Correlsense, Neebula (sold to ServiceNow Inc), and tape.tv. Moshe is at this time a board member/advisory board member of GreenSQL, Graylog Inc, Ocedo GmbH and Opvizor Inc.
Dr. Marcus Englert is a General Partner of Pine Hill Capital L.P.. Marcus holds a Master degree in Physics from the University of Munich and received a PhD at the European Center for Nuclear Research, CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. Furthermore, Marcus holds a MBA with Distinction from the European Institute for Business Affairs, INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Marcus worked as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group for four years and also held different leading positions in the media industry. Overall Marcus has 12 years of experience with the former Kirch Group and ProSiebenSAT.1 Media AG. In his last position as Chief New Media Officer and member of the executive board Marcus initiated and implemented different successful new media products: Online, Pay-TV und Video on demand. Marcus was responsible for the selection, deal making and growth of approx. 15 new media equity participations while at ProSiebenSAT.1 Media AG. Marcus currently is a supervisory board member/ board member of RTT AG (www.rtt.ag), Mediabroadcast GmbH (http://www.media-broadcast.com), tape.tv AG and Quandoo GmbH and is an advisor to Solon Management Consulting (www.solonstrategy.com).
